Ahwazians held several massive civil rallies in front of Iranian embassy in Berlin – Germany, London – England, Canberra – Australia and The Hague – Netherlands.

On Friday, Hundreds of political Arab Ahwazi activists demonstrated in front of Iranian embassy in different cities around the World, such as Berlin – Germany, London – England, Canberra – Australia and The Hague – Netherlands, on the occasion of the 92nd anniversary of the Iranian occupation of Ahwaz (20th of April 1925).

The Ahwazians who mass marched on the streets of Berlin draw attention to German people and the international community, to stand by them to end the Iranian occupation of Alahwaz by supporting the struggle of the Ahwazi Arab.

Earlier this week there was another important event (“The Great April intifada” 15th of April 2005) which started on the 15th of April 2005 after the publication of the letter attributed to Mohammad-Ali Abtahi the then Vice President of Iran, to change the population of Ahwaz (Ahwazi Arabs), ethnic cleansing and the force migration of Arabs in Ahwaz.

Also, Ahwazians protest for several other reasons such as not been allowed to wearing their Arabic traditional clothing in their own homeland, unemployment, land confiscation by Iranian government, poverty in Ahwaz, right to be educated in their own native language.

In the 2005 protest there was thousands of Political and human rights activists were killed or captured by the Iranian regime and brutally tortured to death, their charges were “Enemies of God” (moharebe ba khoda). Since then Ahwazi Arabs show their resistance against Iranian regime by protesting which occurs every year at this time.

On Thursday 20th of April 2017 Ahwazians and their supporters in Canberra held up Alahwazi flat, banners and placards with “STOP! Ethnic Cleansing by Systematic Influx of Foreign Immigrants to Ahwaz and Transfer of Ahwazis”.

Ahwazians held several massive civil rallies in front of Iranian embassy in Berlin – Germany, London – England, Canberra – Australia and The Hague – Netherlands, firstly to commemorate the anniversary of the 1925 occupation, secondly to commemorate the anniversary of the 2005 April Intifada. The organizers hope that these protests bring international awareness as the Iranian regime is targeting Ahwazi political and human rights activists.
