An Arab citizen was killed in an ambush by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps on the Ahwaz-Mahshahr road

Last night, on June 29, 2024, Imad Alboghbish, son of Tawfiq, a resident of Saeedi district in Bandar Mahshahr, was killed along with two of his friends in an ambush by the Revolutionary Guard Corps on the Ahwaz-Mahshahr road. The two other individuals were injured and arrested.

No further details have been reported about the reason for the shooting and ambush by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. This is not the first time that security forces have directly shot at Arab citizens; such incidents have occurred repeatedly as part of a systematic policy aimed at silencing Arab protesters and instilling fear among Ahwazi citizens.
